During summertime transportation towards the island of Samos is very frequent. Visitors can come by air or sea.
By air there are five flights on a daily basis that departure from the airport of Athens and also many charter flights, from many European countries, that come directly to Samos Island. By sea, four ferries departure from the port of Piraeus,
every day, of which one, is one of the new high speed crafts that limits the trip time to six hours! Also two hydrofoil dolphins (flying dolphins) departure from the island of Kos every day - the first one arrives in the morning and the other
one in the afternoon. Last but not least, there is also frequent transportarion from Turkey to Samos as two ferries departure from the port of Kusadassi (Turkey) every day.

2nd Base / Kos Island Greece
Kos Greece is an island part of the Dodecanese. Kos is the third largest island of the group and the second most popular and touristy island after Rhodes. It is very well organised and has everything in terms of touristy infrastructure
and a wide range of accommodations. The various charms and beauties of Kos are not visible at the first sight but, after a while, the picturesque villages and the fine beaches amaze all the visitors.

The airport of Kos is located nearby the village of Antimahia, 26 kilometres south-west of Kos Town. It proposes three daily flights to Athens as well as regular flights to Rhodes.

Ferry
Kos Greece, Travel information about Kos Ferries:
Daily connections are available from Kos to Rhodes and Piraeus.
The island is also linked with the rest of the islands of the Dodecanese and with Mykonos, Syros, Samos and Thessaloniki.
In summer, daily ferries are going to Bodrum, in Turkey.
Hydrofoil
In high season, daily hydrofoils are linking Kos with Rhodes and all the major islands of the Dodecanese.
Daily hydrofoils are also serving the islands of Samos, Ikaria and Fourni (in the north-eastern Aegean). |

Kusadasi is located on the western Anatolia by the Aegean Coast, 80 kilometers south of Izmir. You can get to Kusadasi;
BY AIR : There are regular charter flights during the summer from major European
capitals to Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport, located only 75 kilometers from Kusadasi. Turkish Airlines also has connecting flights to Izmir from Istanbul and Ankara. For the small aeroplanes, Selçuk (Ephesus) Airport is only 15 km away from
Kusadasi.
BY SEA
Turkish and Greek ferry boats shuttle daily between Kusadasi and the nearby Greek island of Samos. Greek ocean liners sail twice a week between Italy (Ancona and Venice) and Turkey (Kusadasi and
Izmir).
In addition to these, Kusadasi is a port of call of many foreign oceanliners sailing the Aegean. Turkish Maritime Lines (Deniz Yollar) cruise ships stop at Kusadasi regularly
while on the Istanbul- Mersin sailing route. With its 700- berth marina, Kusadasi is a major port of entry for foreign yachtsmen.
